About Diskokitten

In early 2005 Diskokitten launched on to the Edinburgh club scene with a manifesto to appeal to a crowd that was looking for an unpretentious crowd with an equally dysfunctional music policy. Resident DJ's and promoters Jason Cortez and Andy Opel set about creating a night that was based on the strap line "Bad Taste is only a matter of  opinion". With this in mind the mayhem and party antics followed....

Over the past few year Diskokitten has developed into a brand with a notoriety for combining house music with any and every genre of music that is skillfully mixed by their stable of Edinburgh's finest resident DJ's. Expect to hear a musical collage drenched in nostalgic tune and just pure fun, the latest dance floor smashes are mashed up with the likes of Whitesnake, Dolly Parton, Beastie Boys to name but a few.

From time to time we like to throw a theme into the event so check out the galleries from our successful Beach Parties, Red & Black Ball and annual Mad Hatters BBQ. Although Diskokitten residents in the glamorous three roomed venue, Berlin, the sound has traveled across many venues in Scotland. Thanks to our infamous monthly Mix CD's the Diskokitten sound has become global with CD's be blared out in Australia, America and the Middle East.
